Twitme 1.3.1 Released

The 1.3.1 release rounds up what i had planned with Twitme. This is mainly a maintenance release and it will fix several bugs that accrued after upgrading from version 1.2 to version 1.3. One really new is the ability to now delete Followers from your Twitme manage page.

New Features:

  • Followers can now be deleted
  • Username as password are being displayed correctly in the settings form now.
  • Fixed: foreach() in /../../../wp-content/plugins/twitme/pages/mannage.php.
  • The manage page send to update style bug fix, windows now fixed.
  • Fixed undefined function notify_twitter()
  • Fixed typo`s in the readme.txt file.
  • Fixed a bug in the login where failing authorization would not be detected

From now on i will get started translating the plug in so you can use it in your own language so if you really love Twitme and you want something back then by contacting me on the forums (http://www.phpvrouwen.nl/forums/) and apply to translate the project in your own language.

Feed-Need Released

Yesterday i have released Twitme the plugin that automatically announces your blog post to twitter. Today i have released my other plug-in called “Feed-Need”. This plug-in is not as big as Twitme is but it can be quite useful for those who like to see how many people are using your RSS feeds.

Here is the official description:

This plug-in was born out of curiosity. I wanted to know how many of my readers where actually using my news and comment feeds. So i wrote this plug-in, After installing the plug-in you will find an option called “Feed Need” under your Manage section. This page will give you a description of how many subscribers you have to both your main news feed and your comment new feed both unique as the number of hits the feeds have gotten. I have also added an option to reset the counters, this way you can measure how long it will take for new readers check your feeds`s.

Twitme released

A few weeks ago i reported about that i was writing a plugin that i was writing for the Wordpress blogging system.

Today i am proud to pronounce that i have released the first public release of Twitme. You can download the Twitme plugin from the Wordpress website here.

If you going to use the Twitme plugin please tell me what you think of it.  Also if you want to see any new features within Twitme you can leave a comment here or on the project page.

Now that the first stable version has been released i have started working on version 1.5 winch will have support for your language. If you are interested in helping me to translate the plugin please leave a comment on this post. I can do English and dutch my self but i only speak those languages. I know for a fact that my readers are from all around the world so I’m asking you all to help me out.

In time i will also release an other plugin called feed-need this plugin shows you how many unique subcribers you have to your news feed and your comment feed.

Codename Arrow

To provide the readers and the community with closer look on the technology that i blog about i decided to start a new opensource project. The project will be code named “Arrow”. Arrow will used in at least wordpress (to start with) and extend any blog into a community. It will use Gears, Flash, Javascript,Php and some SQL needed to save user information. Im still at pre Alpha stage of making the specifications for the project.

If you are a good application designer you can join the group any developer is welcome to join and together we can come to a good name. Web designers are also welcome to provide the team with a logo and or some themes or designs.

Plans of things that i intend to include in this project

  • Use of the Geo codes with Google gears
  • Gdata contacts
  • Flash sounds
  • Gears offline tools
  • Users will be abled to commincate with each other
  • Users will be abled to send in stories
  • Avantars for users
  • User pages
