Hi guys i have a few updates and concerns to speak out well one actualy about RSS and Twime. In this video i will cover howto savely import your posts from any rss file or plugin to prevent mass traffic to Twitter. Also i will be talking about the “Twitme discussion group” .

PS: A maintenance update for Twitme 1.9.6.5 is being made right now because trough this blog and the discussion group i have noticed some flaws.

Update: The discussion group can also be joined by the people who are kind enough to test the Alpha releases of Twitme 1.7. If you all do that development of the perl can be speedup with 70%

As author of the Twitme plugin i get loads of requests and to be honust also some bug reports.

The problem was that some people did that on my blog and some came to my by email or this blog but there was no central communication center. I wanted Twitme experts (Like we have amongst us) to help Twitme beginners out to solve some problem. but that could not happen because the people where not united as one front of Twitme users.

So what i did just a second ago wat creating a Google discussion group with as Subject “Twitme for Wordpress”.

Finaly its there (on followers fryday) the momend where a load of people literly have been begging for. This will be the first concept alpha release of Twitme 1.7, It will allow you to test the back bone of the entirely new and recode version of Twitme. This version of Twitme will be a thin version of what is to come soon it has minimal twitpic support and minimal buddypress support (NOT Buddy press as from release candidate 1 RC1 that is). With the 1.6.x engine there where many problems with the core engine and also 2 security issues where twitme would send out pages or password protected posts. This version is out now for you to make sure this will not happen in the 1.7 core. So if you deside to test ride Twitme 1.7 know the following facts.

• This version is far far from done
• It could contain bugs
• It doesnt contain any gui
• The plugin engine is not done

What i want to know from the testers is bugs they might find in the engine so we can fix it in time. If we test the plugin by masses the sooner i can release the next alpha and that will be a gui alpha release so this will contain more core features. New btw is Notify followers the working version because i recently found out that this function didnt word (and still) in ANY version in the 2.6.x version (sorry for that). Version 1.7 will continue working on php 4 and 5 as you are used of me and i have begon to implant the Twitme API whinch will be crutial to the next generation of Twitme because it will allow you developers to develop on Twitme and head off where a left.
